Pincushion Workshop with Anna ‘Lalou and Boo’

Art and craft have always been woven into my life, like a sacred golden thread that I call upon when the outside world becomes too frenetic. Although I have always loved painting and drawing, the magic of textiles opened up to me after I became a mum and discovered a precious ‘slow life’ with my children that enabled me to really explore my creativity.

Today, I have a small business and instagram account under the name ‘Lalou and Boo’ where I share and sell my textile-based work. I take inspiration from the world around me, particularly from my garden and life with my four little girls. I love working alongside other creatives in this incredible community, as we share our passions together and inspire each other to make beautiful things.

Come learn to make an exquisite embroidered linen pincushion with me from start to finish, using English paper piecing, applique and embroidery.  It is a lovely, achievable little project on which to learn some new skills, make friends and add a little beauty to your sewing kit!

Class cost includes tuition, morning & afternoon tea. Class runs from 10am – 3pm

Anna will provide a kit $15 payable to Anna on the day. Also required a little bit of stuffing, liberty & iron on light stabilizer. Available at Bella Fabrics
